SoCast now has the ability to customize the sign-up form. Custom Signup restricts immediate access to content or actions exclusive to members by requiring the user to provide customizable sign up fields, and for the user to validate their email for full access. Contest entry will continue to use full sign up with the option of adding custom fields configured in Promotions.
Step-by-step guide
- Go to: Promotions > Members > Member Signup Settings
- Sign Up Type: Choose "Custom Signup" > "Configure Custom Fields"
- On the "Configure Signup Fields" page, choose which fields to make included and/or required by checking them off. Email, Password and Subscriptions are automatically included and cannot be turned off.
- Once done click the 'save' button.
