How Do I Re-Set A Staff Member's Password?

  • Users who are Account or Company Admins and have access to the Admin feature.
  • This is applicable to all SoCast Themes


These instructions are for re-setting a staff member's password. Every client creates their own permission groups to best suit their needs, therefore there will always be exceptions. In general most brands/stations will have an admin with the ability to re-set a staff member's password. If you are not an admin and do not have access to re-set staff passwords, please contact your brand/station admin as soon as possible. If you are unable to contact your admin, please contact the SoCast Support Desk for assistance.

Step-by-Step guide

  1. Log into admin.socastsrm.com
  2. In the top right hand corner, select 'Admin'



  3. From the drop-down menu select 'Users'

  4. Click on the 'All Users' tab

  5. Search for the staff member who needs their password re-set
  6. Click the 're-set password' button



  7. You should see a 'Password reset, email has been sent.' message
  8. You may also click on the 'pencil' icon under the 'actions' tab beside the staff members name.



  9. You will now see this staff member's information
  10. Scroll down to 'password'
  11. Click the 're-set password' button

  12. You should see a 'Password reset, email has been sent.' message
  13. This staff member will now receive an email informing them that someone has re-set their password, it will ask them to log into admin.socastsrm.com and change the password if they wish.
