Step #5: Make Your Contest Sticky (Contest List)

Best Practices:

  • No More than 30 contests should reside in the Sticky List at any given time.

  • All Sticky contests should be set with an Expiry Date at the time of publishing. This prevents a backlog of old contests in the Sticky List.

  • Re-Ordering of the Sticky List should be done by navigating to Promotions > Sticky Contests and drag/drop the order of appearance and click 'Save' at the bottom of the page. Allow up to 10 mins for server cache refresh.

Sticky Contests is a feature that places a contest at the top of the contest list, keeping it there until new contests are published, it's expires, or is removed. (this replaces what was previously referred to as the ‘contest list’ on our old system)

  1. Make a contest sticky: Select contests to make sticky. Once selected, the sticky contests appear in the section below. Sticky contests use the same expiry settings as blog posts

  2. Manage Sticky Contests: manage the display of sticky contests at the top of contest list. Drag to re-order the sticky contests.
