How Do I Create And Monitor Twitter Lists In The SoCast Platform?

- Lists are a great way to organize followers, i.e. artists, staff, partners, influencers, etc.
- Lists are also great for organizing topics, i.e. local news, sports, culture, events, etc.
- Lists can also be used to get content from accounts that you don’t want to follow, especially if you have reached the maximum limit of accounts you can follow based on the number of accounts following you
Below are the instructions for how to create a Twitter list within the SoCast Platform, and how to monitor that list in 'streams' once created. This is often used if a user wishes to only see tweets by specific twitter accounts.
Step-by-step guide
How To Add Users To A List:
- Go to http://admin.socastsrm.com/posts
- Go to "Search"
- Click on the "Twitter Users" tab
- Search for the users you want
- For each user you want to add to a list, click the List button (third button to the right of the "Follow" button)
- If the list already exists, find the list and select the check box
- If the list doesn't exist, click "Create List" and add user to that list
How To Monitor The List:
- Go to http://admin.socastsrm.com/posts
- Click "Configure Streams"
- Click your Twitter profile containing the lists
- Select the list you created
