Requirements:

If you wish to use Activity Stream Conversations within the SoCast Mobile App, you'll require the following:

  • Must have purchased the SoCast Mobile App (If you would like to purchase the Mobile App please speak with your SoCast Account Manager)
  • Must have: Manage Mobile App Permissions
  • This is applicable to: Single Tenant App & Multi-Tenant App

Note:

  • Moderation is strictly to approve or reject messages in the activity stream.
  • All original messages outside of the activity stream from Facebook or Twitter are not deleted or hidden when rejected and will still be posted to the native Facebook or Twitter feeds regardless of the moderation status set in the SoCast admin
  • An Activity Stream can contain any of the following:
    • Member conversations only

    • Member conversations + Anonymous conversations (cannot contain anonymous comments only)

    • Membership must be enabled in order to use anonymous conversations

SoCast currently offers three types of Activity Stream Conversations. These can be displayed and used on desktop or the mobile app.

These three types include:

  1. Social Conversations: Consists of Facebook Posts and Comments, Twitter Hashtag searches and @Mentions, which Admins can approve or reject within the SoCast Platform
  2. Member & Anonymous Conversations: Consists of member and anonymous comments submitted via desktop and the app. These can include photos, voice notes, or text. Admins can approve or reject these comments, reply to comments or post their own content such as links, images, or comments
  3. SMS Conversations: Consists of SMS comments submitted via the app. Admins can approve, reject or reply to these comments.
