Step #1: Choose A Contest Flow (Legacy)

  • All users who have 'Promotions' permissions
  • This is applicable to all SoCast Themes

Requirements:

  • If you have transitioned to SoCast via Promosuite you will not have access to the contesting feature. Please reach out to Promosuite for details.

These instructions are for setting up the contest phases and their dates.

Step-by-step guide

There are 4 different types of contest flows that can be chosen. They are as follows:

  1. Entry>Judge>Winner  (This workflow is the only option for a Sweepstakes contest)
  2. Entry>Vote>Winner
  3. Entry>Vote>Judge>Winner
  4. Entry>Judge>Vote>Winner
  5. Once a contest flow has been selected fill in the required fields.


     

  6. Below is an example of the Entry>Vote>Judge>Winner flow.
  1. Entry: Enables entrants to sign-up for the contest
    1. Heading:To change your entry heading from the default, click on the text box. This is a required field. 
  2. Description: Click the [Edit Description] button to edit the description from the default. 
    1. Start Date: Date contest signups start 
    2. End Date: Date contest signups end 
  3. Check the box if you wish entries to be approved before qualifying for the contest  
  4. People can sign up for contest once per:
    1. Hour
    2. Day (24 Hours)
    3. Week  (7 Days)
    4. Month (30 Days)
    5. No Limit




     
  5. Vote: Enables voters to sign-up and vote
    1. Heading:To change your vote heading from the default, click on the text box. This is a required field.
    2. Description:Click the [Edit Description] button to edit the description from the default.
    3. Start Date:Date user voting begins
    4. End Date:Date user voting ends
  6. People can vote once per:
    1. Day 
    2. Contest
  7. Number of finalist(s) to be selected by votes 


     

  8. Judge — Enables judges to select winners 
    1. Heading: To change your judging heading from the default, click on the text box. This is a required field. 
    2. Description: Click the [Edit Description] button to edit the description from the default. 
    3. Start Date: Date judging starts 
    4. End Date: Date judging ends 
  9. Number of winner(s) to be selected by judges 




  10. Winner: Date when winners of contest are announced. Winners selected from judging must be confirmed before being posted to the website. To confirm winners, simply click on the "confirm winners" button in the "Judging" tab after completing all selections. 
    1. Heading:To change your winner heading from the default, click on the text box. This is a required field. 
    2. Description: Click the [Edit Description] button to edit the description from the default. 
    3. Date: Date winner is selected 

     

  11. Click the [Save and Continue] button
