How Do I Add A Program To The Program Schedule?

These instructions are used to add new programs to your station’s program schedule.Step-by-step guide

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Go to Player>Program Schedule: http://admin.socastsrm.com/program
  2. Click the Add Program button
  3. Fill in your program’s required fields. Fields with * are required.
    1. Name: Enter the name of the program you are setting up, e.g., "John and Jane in the Morning"

    2. Description: Here you can add a short description of your show, but it is not required

    3. Page: Choose one of the following options:

      1. Internal Page: Click the dropdown to link your program to an internal page on your site.

      2. External Link: Add an external link for your program to link too.

    4. Program Image: Select the program image for this specific show. Click the Add From Media Library button. (For instructions on how to upload media please see: ) Please note the following:
      1. Recommended Maximum Width Size: Max. width is 1100px
      2. Recommended Minimum Width Size: we recommend a minimum of 510px width for best display in the SoCast mobile app (if applicable)
      3. Image Format: Image must be either JPG, PNG, or GIF
      4. This image appears in the 'Program Schedule List widget and the 'On Air Now' widget on the website, and in the SoCast mobile app navigation menu
      5. If no image is added, we will use the account logo
    5. Schedule: Choose one of the following:

      1. Recurring Program: Selecting this option will make the program reoccur at the same time everyday. (ex. John and Jane In The Morning 6am-10am)

      2. One-Time Program: Selecting this option will make the program occur only once. (ex. Christmas Classics with John-Sunday 3pm-5pm)

      3. Click Add Time Slot button to set up the dates and times that this particular show will be running

    6. Hit the Save button

  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 to add additional programs to your schedule

  5. Go to: Player>Program Schedule and observe the "Display Order" module in the right column. Drag to re-order the programs you have created to desired order.

  6. Click the Save button
