How Do I Set-Up My App's Navigation?

This Article Is For:

  • All users who have: Manage Mobile App Permissions
  • This is applicable to: Single Tenant App & Multi-Tenant App

Requirements:

  • Station/brand have already purchased the SoCast Mobile App package
  • Have been given the above listed permissions by your SoCast Account Manager.

Features:

  • The mobile app navigation allows you to drag and drop the order you wish navigation items to appear in

Tip:

  • Settings, Login, Signup, Logout and Alarm Clock are automatically added,  and cannot be moved or deleted

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to: http://admin.socastsrm.com/mobile/navigation
  2. To add an item to the navigation click the ‘add item’ button
  3. Fill out the rest of your ‘item’ details:
  4. Name: Fill in the navigation item's name (ex. DJ's & Shows)
  5. Icon: Add an icon for the navigation item. You either choose one from our icon pack or add your own. Must be a png, and have the dimensions of 40x40px at 326ppi (for high resolution and retina display supported devices)
  6. Type: Select one of the following:  
    1. Page: Can be used for basic pages only containing text and images (e.g. Help Page). Select from the drop-down of available pages
    2. Link: Used to present all web pages containing 3rd party embeds (e.g. YouTube, SoundCloud), 3rd party links (e.g. concert tickets) and contest landing pages. Copy and paste the URL of the page.
    3. Promotion: Used to present in-app Contests. This will place the contest title directly in the navigation.
    4. Activity Stream: Used to select from any available Activity Streams.
  7. URL: URL is a required field. Options depend on type selected above. (ex. If you choose 'page' the 'URL' will display all available pages).  If an Activity Stream is selected in "Type" then a checkbox to include "Last Played" will appear beside the URL field.  If this box is checked, then the song feed / playlist will appear as part of the Activity Stream.  This checkbox will not display if any other Type is selected. 
  8. Publish Date: Enter a publish date for when you wish this item to be added to the navigation
  9. Expiry Date: Enter an expiry date for when you wish this item to be taken off the navigation
