How Do I Schedule A Social Media Post? (New)

  • All users who have a SoCast account (Login & Password)
  • All users who have access to the 'SRM' feature
  • This is applicable to all SoCast Themes

These are the instructions for creating and scheduling a social media post through the SoCast publishing tool.

Experiment with different posting schedules and see what works best by checking engagement metrics. You should also keep in mind that scheduling should be used as an aide; nothing replaces real time reaction, interaction and responsibilities.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to: admin.socastsrm.com
  2. Click on the ‘Social’ tab

  3. Click the ‘Compose’ button

  4. Notice the compose post modal opens a new pop-out window
  5. At the top of the compose window, it will display a message reminding you which account/station you are in
  6. To compose a post select which social network(s) you want to post too.



  7. Add content of post (text, image, link etc)



  8. All social posting options have their own collapsible containers (i.e. add a picture, add a link, add a tag, target audience, schedule post)
  9. Expanding a container reveals options
  10. User can cancel an option by clicking the close button that collapses the container.
  11. When the container is collapsed, it will reset all settings within the container so when it’s next opened, it will be blank.
  12. To schedule a post, click on the ‘schedule post’ tab.

  13. Select a date by clicking in the date box

  14. Select a time by clicking in the time box

  15. Click the Schedule button
